Lyme disease can be improved by HBOT. Part of the improvement may be from the non-specific anti-inflammatory effect of HBOT, part from improvement in immune function, and it is possible that HBOT is directly killing Lyme and other organisms which are anaerobic and will die in the presence of oxygen. It is not clear if HBOT can actually cure chronic Lyme disease. It may be that maintenance HBOT will be required.
